Our annual Honors Convocation was reimagined into a digital viewbook that recognized all the achievements of our graduates in a digital platform that could be printed out and shared with family and friends .

In August , we hosted a physically-distanced , on-campus celebration for our 2020 graduates . Graduates returned to campus in staggered intervals .

After completing a pre-screening survey and passing a temperature screening , graduates dressed in their caps and gowns and arrived on campus . As they drove through campus , they were surrounded by cheering faculty , staff , and community members with encouraging signs , GMercyU cowbells and balloons .

The celebration also provided a safe environment for graduates and loved ones to take their own pictures at various photo stations , including an area for photos captured by a professional photographer . After the session with the professional photographer , families were allowed to spend time together taking photos and sharing memories .

“ So much fun !” said 2020 graduate , Faith Piotrowski , about the event on Facebook . “ A perfectly crazy ending to a crazy and amazing three years .”

We couldn ’ t be prouder of the accomplishments of our 2020 graduates who persevered during these unprecedented times . Go , Griffins !
