What’ s New at GMercyU

LARGEST FIRST-YEAR CLASS IN 13 YEARS
GMercyU welcomed its largest incoming first-year class since 2012. First-year, new student enrollment for Fall 2025 is up for a third straight year with this year’ s firstyear incoming class nearly 30 % larger than last year. Fall 2025 undergraduate applications and acceptances were also at a 20-year high.
GMercyU’ s growth in enrollment resulted in a waitlist for on-campus housing. Given that GMercyU’ s three residence halls are at capacity, an additional 39 students are temporarily living at the Staybridge Suites in North Wales.
The Occupational Therapy program’ s move from the ground floor of Siena Hall to the new Frances M. Maguire’ 55 Healthcare Innovation Center will make it possible to add additional beds to the residential living complex this spring.
GMercyU RANKED AMONG NATION’ S BEST
Gwynedd Mercy University was ranked a Top 10 % Best Value College in Pennsylvania and the ninth Best Value College in the Philadelphia area, according to Niche.
Niche also ranked GMercyU in the Top 6 % for Safest Colleges in the United States and second safest in the Philadelphia region.
NEW ONLINE SPEECH- LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY MINOR
This fall, GMercyU launched a new Speech-Language Pathology( SLP) minor featuring all online, asynchronous courses. It is the University’ s first fully online minor, meeting students’ growing interest in having access to online undergraduate course options.
The minor offers students a convenient way to explore the field of speech-language pathology. It also fulfills the prerequisite courses required for GMercyU’ s graduate SLP program and others like it, setting students up for a healthcare career with much faster than average job growth, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
We’ re excited to introduce undergraduate students to this rewarding field and the impact it can make on people’ s lives.
