Since we were children, we hear songs in English on the radio, we watch English movies, we learn English in school and that’s why everyone knows a little bit of it and why it is so familiar to our surroundings.

Nowadays people start surfing on the internet from a very young age, and this has its own pros and cons. However, we’re going to leave the negative stuff aside, and focus on how the internet helps us to develop our English.

At five years old we start playing games and in some of them, the indications of how to play the game are not in our mother language, but in English.

At eight years old we start watching videos on YouTube. At first, we watch videos that we completely understand, but as the time goes by, we grow up watching English, American , Australian or Canadian YouTuber's and it sounds more appealing since there’s more diversity.

There's even people whose mother language isn’t English, make videos in English.

Here we asked a student,that is taking a masters degree in Sweden, where she is talking about how English is important and her experience with it.
