The acoustic design of the space presented additional challenges. Investec’ s office features numerous acoustic panels in boardrooms and collaborative areas, designed to absorb sound and foster a calm working environment. The Fourways design team had to carefully position each air-conditioning unit to ensure airflow was not obstructed, while maintaining optimal air distribution and quiet operation.
In some areas, long piping runs required dividing the system into smaller, more effective zones. This approach addressed the site ' s technical constraints while improving system diversity, ensuring that if one section experienced downtime, the rest of the building could continue to operate normally.
The result is a climate control system that complements the building’ s architecture, maintains exceptional air quality, and operates with quiet precision, reflecting Samsung’ s design-first approach to performance engineering.
Retail excellence: Creating experiences that resonate
Beyond the corporate sector, Fourways Mauritius has also significantly contributed to transforming retail spaces across the island, ensuring that every store offers the ideal mix of comfort, efficiency, and design.
At the Samsung Store and Galaxy Store, the company ' s own technology takes centre stage. Both projects feature Samsung 360 Cassette units, chosen for their sleek, modern design and even, draft-free airflow. These installations were overseen by consultant Jean-Michel Louis, with Fourways acting as both dealer and adviser, and Nemorin as the installer.
The outcome is a cooling system that showcases Samsung’ s premium identity and establishes a welcoming environment for customers to experience the brand firsthand.
Major retail projects include Woolworths and Gap, showcasing Samsung ' s flexibility across different retail settings.
Woolworths features a ducted system, chosen for its discreet ceiling integration and reliable temperature control throughout open retail areas. Gap utilises 4-way cassettes, delivering efficient and evenly distributed airflow tailored to its layout and aesthetic needs.

These projects were carried out through a close partnership between Fourways and Service Technique du Batiment( STB), which acted as consultant, dealer, and installer. Together, they provided tailored solutions that address each brand’ s operational needs while enhancing the shopping experience for both customers and staff.
