Each event, held at the Ambassador’s residence, hosted 30 selected participants for a Filipino-style cocktail bar and a structured roundtable dialogue. Every guest was invited to share what they felt was vital for the Ambassador to understand about their specific community. The impact was immediate.
Representatives from the LGBT community discussed developments within both the Israeli and Filipino landscapes, while media professionals shared candid insights into industry trends and challenges. In the upcoming reception, the Ambassador will host senior women from the tourism industry to explore leadership and market collaboration.
The feedback has been exceptional. The Embassy team described the experience as an invaluable window into the diversity of Israeli society. Participants, in turn, emphasized how meaningful it was to engage in a diplomatic setting that felt personal and genuinely reciprocal. Beyond strengthening bilateral ties, these gatherings fostered deeper connections within the communities themselves. This project reaffirms a key principle: destinations and diplomatic missions do not build relevance through visibility alone. They build it through trust. And trust begins with listening.
