Caribbean destinations are increasingly turning to Latin America to reduce dependence on established North American and European source markets amid global uncertainty. This shift is reflected in stronger participation in regional trade shows and increased in-market presence across key origins.

At the recent Caribbean Travel Marketplace in Antigua & Barbuda, Victor Nine, co-founder and CEO of Kontextia (based in Argentina), participated in strategy discussions with regional stakeholders, where Latin America was a recurring focus. Demand is driven by a growing base of discerning affluent travelers, particularly in Brazil, Mexico and Argentina, the region’s largest economies, followed by Colombia, with smaller outbound markets such as Peru and Chile supporting expanding higher-value travel.
