Amongst other things that made Peeps leave his home for Pinetown were the ways in which he was treated by his family. They practically regarded him as the outcast. As soon as he found out that the house was in arrears he began paying for it. It is a shame when your house falls behind in payments because of your children. Even though Peeps older sister had maintained that she only gave work to her other sister because she wanted her to pay for the house, it was clear that, this was a big job for her. There were clashes in the family especially when Peeps older sister came to live in the house too. There were many words that were said, words that showed that there was no love lost amongst everyone. Peeps was told to stop paying for the house. It also came up that Peeps had at some stage called a meeting in which the status of his home was discussed intensely. Peeps father hated him because he believed that Peeps suggested that they should look for a place in the farmland. When Peeps explained that he never called for any meeting it was too late, the damage was already done.
