Chattanooga, Tenn.; and Huntsville,
Ala. They have visited much of
Mississippi, taking trips to Ocean
Springs, Cleveland, Laurel, Jackson,
Oxford, among other famous stops
in the state.
A Feb. 27 day trip to Canton to
tour the Nissan plant, the Movie
Museum, the historic downtown,
and the Old Madison County Jail
filled up quickly with reservations,
Wells said.
Similarly, a May 3-7 trip to
New York City has been booked
since last fall. The trip will include
stops at the Empire State Building,
the Museum of Natural History,
Metropolitan Museum of Art, as
well as other New York landmarks.
They will see the Broadway pro-
duction “Ain’t Too Proud,” an elec-

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Wells said she is finalizing plans
for an overnight trip to Memphis
with a stop in Tupelo to visit Elvis’
birthplace on March 26 & 27. In
Memphis, the group will take part
in the Elvis Experience Tour, which
will include visits to Graceland, its
grounds and museums. They will
be staying at The Guest House at
Graceland hotel, take part in the
Elvis Hound Dog Tour, have dinner
on Beale Street, and try some of that
famous Memphis barbecue.
Members can begin reserving
their spots when the sign-up sheets
mail out in February, Wells said.
“The travel is one of the things
that drew us to Lifetime Quest,”
said Ruby Brown of Meridian. She
and her husband, Paten Brown Jr.,
have been members since 2008.
When she and her husband
moved to Meridian, Ruby Brown,
who was retired from AT&T in
Georgia, was looking for something
to do. Paten Brown still worked at
the Meridian Naval Air Station.
“I started going to the swim-
ming pool at MCC, and I would
talk to others there. I mentioned
that I was looking for something to
get involved in since I was retired.
Someone who was there suggested
Lifetime Quest to me and invited
me to attend,” said Ruby Brown.
She and her husband were soon
hooked. They attend Lunch Bunch,
the Arts & Letters Series and Bingo
Quest. She enjoys the Reading &
Discussion Group. They especially
love the travel.
“It has given us the opportunity
to see things and visit places we
never would have been able to do
on our own. We like that every-
thing is done for you. They plan out
the trip, where to stay, where you
are going to eat. We don’t have to
