The horoscopes for the sign 'Leo' above were reprints of well-worn clipings found in Mr. Gatsby's house after his death. They were placed underneath a tapestry labelled 'JG', pictured on the left. In the original clipings, the words 'put them aside' and 'today that all changes' were underlined several times, which could relate to Gatsby's belief in a higher power and his wishes to change his life, especially in a romantic way. We estimate the clipings are from Spring 1922.
