From there I change the sonic elements adding piano, organ (harking back to my adoration for 60s music) and dark synthesisers with layers of instrumentation, recently I’ve been very interested in making the most out of all the guitar has to offer with technical capabilities so looping feedback and harmonics to create and eerie underlying root. An essential task for me is trying to make music sound as human as possible recording electronically. I tend to record as I go along in the process as opposed to recording in a few takes - this could mean the recording of a song could go on for months. When the song feels like it has come together and fulfilled my expectations then I record the vocals which loom over the song like a bird of prey.
