Coast Guard rescues
25 passengers from
capsized motorbanca
Upon receiving the report from the lifeguard of Hannah beach resort,
PCG personnel immediately launched SAR operations rescuing all the
passengers. They were brought to safety and subjected to medical
examination. All were declared in good condition

CG: Personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Currimao
successfully rescued twenty-five (25) passengers of
unnamed motorbanca that capsized at the vicinity
waters of Dos Hermanos Island, Sitio Malingay,
Barangay Balaoi, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte today
April 13, 2017.
According to reports, the family of certain Reagan
Carter of Taguddin, Ilocos Sur rented a motorbanca for an island
hopping at Dos Hermanos Island. While navigating at the said
vicinity, the motorbanca was battered by big waves and eventually

capsized.

subjected to medical examination. All were declared in good
condition.
Meantime, the Captain of motorbanca, Dominador Pasion, was
detained by Station Currimao for ferrying passengers without
clearance from PCG and the LGU.
