The crowd had gathered , pressing into the square with a sense of palpable expectation . Suddenly , the sound of trumpets pierced the steady hum of animated conversations and the playful clamor of children . A sharply uniformed herald ' s voice rose above the din , commanding , “ Make way for the King !”
The people instinctively pulled back , clearing a path that led directly to the heart of the square .
Once more , the trumpets rang out , this time revealing four impeccably dressed soldiers , each holding a long , gleaming silver trumpet . From each one hung banners emblazoned with the royal crest — a roaring lion — in brilliant blue , white , and gold .
Behind the trumpeters marched a score of soldiers , perfectly synchronized in their ceremonial attire . Again , the herald called , “ Make way for the King !”
