The month of Tishrei has always been a special month based on the fall feasts which Adonai has put into place . However , with this year , we are upon the one-year anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7 , 2023 ( which occurred on the day of Simchat Torah , the 22nd of Tishrei ). With this somber reflection , I believe that it is important to consider the moral contrast of our fall feasts with these heinous acts approximately one year ago . This is the third article in a series about the moral reasoning for supporting Israel .
