Prayer movements multiplied over the course of the 21st Century . House of Prayer ministries are in hundreds of major cities around the world . Peter Wagner prophesied in 2010 that this was the start of a Third Great Awakening for America and for the world . “ Many intercessors across the nation are crying out to God for the nation to once again become ' a city set on a hill ’.” If we continue to pray and call out to God , this nation will shift . This past May on Pentecost Sunday , more than 100 million believers around the world prayed for Israel and the Jewish people !
Though a humorous example , it shows that parents delay the final moment of judgment and ultimate punishment . The desire is for the child to choose to correct their behavior on their own , without being forced to do so . Our Heavenly Father also desires that as many as possible would return to Him , recognizing that they have fallen short from His standards , to repent and accept the offer for a restored relationship .
BUT ARE WE CLOSE TO YESHUA ’ S RETURN ?
Though I don ’ t support any prognosticating regarding the specific time of Yeshua ’ s return , here are a few key indicators that we are close :
RESTORATION OF EFFECTIVE EVANGELISTIC , APOSTOLIC , AND PROPHETIC LEADERSHIP
There is a refining and effectiveness of five-fold equipping within the Body of Messiah . We are aligning with God ’ s Kingdom and preparing the Body for His government to be established on the earth . Though we only see in part , the framework for an interdependent , ordered Body is a step toward greater unity of the Body of believers , while crossing over denominational and institutional lines .
MESSIANIC JUDAISM Existence of an identifiable movement of Jews who believe in Messiah Yeshua and a growing , viable population of Jewish believers in Israel who are ready to cry out , “ Baruch Haba B ’ Shem Adonai ”.
