LABAN DOYLE
The other day , I was so proud of my daughter , Layla . Whenever we as parents encounter one of those “ moments ” and we look at our children with wonder and pride , because of something great they have done ; it just makes us proud . And sometimes it leaves us humbled with humor wondering , “ who and where did they learn that from .” So , the other day , as I dropped her off at school , I noticed that there ’ s a young girl who serves as one of the morning school safety patrol guards , and helps with the morning drop off parent processional . What I noticed was that this young girl made an effort every morning to get Layla ’ s attention . There is an obvious age and height difference between the two , but Layla graciously extends a sincere smile and hug to this young girl . I asked her the next morning after it became evident to me that this routine and exchange happens quite often ,
