Outside of their larger campaigns , KTB rallies community members to do their part in keeping the Tiftarea clean by encouraging them to start small- -keeping their yards neat and tidy .
The board ’ s Beauty Spot competition selects two figures in the community each month--one homeowner and a local business or organization--who have toiled to keep their gardens , yards , and greenery clean and picturesque to congratulate them on a job well done and bestow upon them the title of that month ’ s “ Beauty Spots ,” as well as the opportunity to earn a valuable gift card through a raffle held at the end of the year .
“ Our mission there is to make sure that people feel encouraged to clean their yards ,” Nakakeeto said . “ It begins at their yard ; if everybody cleans up their yard , then the city will be beautiful--the county will be beautiful .”
KTB has even done their part to make sure Tifton always has a little spot of green by working to maintain a community garden on Central Avenue . Though it might be smaller than they ’ d like it to be , the organization has still put it to good use in making the community a little greener--vegetables grown in the garden are donated back to those in need of them in the community .
The board is always looking for new ways to clean up the community and keep residents of that community informed on what they can do to keep their home as beautiful as ever ; alongside an interest in expanding some of their existing programs ,

In the meantime , you ’ re sure to see their volunteers hard at work doing what they do best : keeping Tift beautiful .
