Shoobridge has expressed pleasant surprise at the level of care and drive he’ s witnessed being displayed by city staff in regard to serving and supporting the community, noting their willingness to work as long and as hard as needed to organize community events and celebrations, deliver necessary improvements to infrastructure, and push for the revitalization of historic or underdeveloped areas of the city.
Moving ahead, he hopes to echo that passion for Tifton through his own work, assisting those city employees and his fellow city officials in creating a better future for the city one project at a time.
Indeed, the city manager has expressed his intent to improve the livability of Tifton for its residents, making the city a happier, brighter place to live as it continues to grow, while still ensuring he remains accessible and approachable as city manager. With a population of more than 17,000, that might prove somewhat challenging, but he’ s looking forward to trying.
And as he continues to serve as city manager, Shoobridge has asserted that he’ ll work alongside the mayor and city council in determining the best direction for the Tifton to continue growing and thriving, in the hope that
