Faith Formation—Children & Families
The Faith Village children presented “The Christmas Story” on December 13th. The older children did a
wonderful job retelling the story of Jesus’ birth and the younger kids were amazing as the animals that
witnessed the Savior’s coming that glorious day! Special thanks to our talented accompanist, Barbara Baggs,
musical director, Shelley Aust, and videographer, Andy Sprain. The kids so much fun singing the songs and
playing the instruments. Thank you to Barbara Montague for making Christmas stockings for all of the
children. I would also like to thank all of the Faith Village volunteers for their support with Faith Village for this
year. I am so thankful for your dedication and the gifts that you bring in teaching God’s word to our youth. You
are all amazing!
Our focus this last month has been on Advent and Christmas. We celebrated God’s love for us, the joy of the
Christmas season, and the gift of Jesus’ birth. The Faith Village kids had fun decorating miniature trees on
December 20th. Thank you to Sylvia Supinski and Debbie Schwartz for organizing this fun activity. All of
Trinity’s kids made Christmas ornaments or crafts this day and played Christmas games. We will resume our
Faith Village and Pray and Play programs on January 10th following our winter break. We will focus on
lessons from the New Testament with Jesus is Born. Scriptures include Matthew 1:18-25; 2:1-12; Luke 1:2658; and 2:1-20.
Pastor Meghan and I will be hosting a Milestones Ministry workshop. We will be making Bible Milestone kits
that you can take home. We will meet here at Trinity on Saturday, January 23rd. Let me know if you are
interested in attending! A time will be decided upon based on people’s availability.
Trinity hosted a family evening with dinner and conversation related to grief and emotional health on
December 9th. Our special guests were from the Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County. They did
a presentation geared towards middle school and high school aged students. Special thanks to the licensed
therapists and counselors who were also present to lend support. The younger kids watched the movie, Inside
Out, and participated in
