Moisturizer
For dry skin, I always recommend a rich, emollient cream. Facial creams for dry
skin are thicker and heavier than most, but keep in mind that dry skin needs to
be kept hydrated for a soft, supple look and feel. I always recommend that you
moisturize dry skin when it’s still damp after cleansing and toning. This will help
lock in the normal moisture of the skin.
Toner
This step is often overlooked in most skin care systems but it’s the most important.
Using a toner removes any residue left behind after cleansing and it also
balances the pH of the skin.
Tip: Try filling a spray bottle with sparkling water infused with cucumber
and store it in the fridge. This is such a wonderful treat for the skin and it’s
awesome for warm days. The bubbles in the sparkling water may get flat
but the water is still oxygenated. This is also great for irritated skin.
Eye Creams
This is an extra step that’s not
always needed. However, if
you have dry, mature, aging
skin, I recommend using an
eye cream. This helps with fine
lines and wrinkles around the
eye area by offering even
more hydration.
For sagging skin around the
eye area I suggest a firming
eye serum.
Tip: I recommend sunscreen for all skin types. I also really like tinted
moisturizers for oily and normal / combination skin types. It gives you the
protection that’s needed and a light tint of color without using
foundation.
Tip: Mask and scrub can be used once per week.
