visit and quaint eating establishments. For the past
3 years, the Talimena Scenic Drive Association
has asked me to host the ride on Saturday across
the mountains. Last year, they added mountaintop
tent stops along the vistas for us. This was great
as we were able to snack, have lunch, do a selfie
contest, shop and enjoy all this place has to
offer. And, every year we make a big stop at the
Queen Wilhelmina State Park and Lodge for our
yearly good time on the mini-train and the Wonder
House. This year, they will be holding our last stop
and giving away prizes on a park on the drive so
that we can stay and enjoy our good time. If you
are going along Saturday morning, be sure to fill
up before pulling out on the mountain as there are
no gas stations along this 54 mile route. Pack a
couple snacks and drinks in the saddle bag as
you’re going into the woods and we are taking
our time. Riders are also welcome to travel at their
own pace on either or both days. The point to this
rally is to introduce riders to what these gateway
communities have to offer in and around Talimena
National Scenic Byway. This year we’re having fun
in Talihina and all over so make plans for a road trip
folks! It’s going to be fun!

OK and End at Kerr Nature Center on top of the
Drive! How cool is that! Any which way you go,

we return to the Talimena Drive for our third year
of TaliRally’16!
