FEATURES states . I rode up to Barre then across to highway 100 for another scenic ride through the Green Mountains . It was then a ride across Massachusetts to Cape Cod , another place to tick off my bucket list . I had more fantastic rides here and then headed down the coast to Rhode Island , another state I needed to happily complete the goal of all 50 states . The ride through RI and Connecticut were great and when I came across the Harley Dealer in New London , Mike ’ s Famous HD , I was treated really well . Next day , I headed to New York where I was going to stay with my niece for a few days .
I was actually staying in Long Island and was lucky enough to be there for a car show with a lot of high end cars .
I took a ride out to Orient and then Montaok . I also got to go to the Brooklyn Invitational Bike show which had some cool bikes . Got to see Indian Larry ’ s shop also . After a week , I headed to complete the 50 states with my last state , Delaware . That done , I headed to Virginia beach for the
night crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel . It was then time to head north to tick off another on the bucket list , The Blue Ridge Parkway . I headed north to end up in Front Royal ready to start the Parkway . But wait ! I went back and checked my past maps and discovered I had never been to the states of West Virginia or Kentucky so before I started the Blue Ridge I did a little detour and rode to Petersburg in West Virginia . Then it was back to Front Royal to start . Well it was actually Skyline Drive Parkway I started on and what a fantastic ride that is even with the 40MPH speed limit ( yeah right ). I would say that I now have another highlight of my trip , what a magnificent road to ride , so scenic . After a stop in Waynesboro , I started the Blue Ridge Parkway and was happy to see an increase in the speed limit to 50MPH .
Again another fantastic ride with a little detour to Floyd to get gas . Next day it was back on the Parkway to finish at Cherokee and
on to the bikers dream road the Tail of the Dragon .
I had heard so much about this ride I didn ’ t know what to expect , but it sure passed those expectations ! What a ride ! For such a short distance it is amazing . After grabbing all the stuff to say I had ridden the Tail I headed towards Knoxville and ended up staying the night in Pigeon Forge which is an interesting city . From there it was a ride along the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains and up to Kentucky to finally complete the 50 states for certain ! Then it was a leisurely ride down to Nashville
