FROM THE HEADMASTER
Dear Alumni , Parents , and Friends of Thornton Academy ,
It is hard to believe , but we are now more than halfway through the academic year . While the pandemic continues to shape many aspects of our daily lives , we have much to celebrate as we have been fortunate to return to full-time , in-person learning , and all the extracurricular activities that make the Thornton Academy experience so special . A return to a more normal school year has allowed our students to get back to all the things they love and it is refreshing to feel our campus come back to life .
Inside and outside the classroom , our students are encouraged to be who they are while becoming who they want to be . The breadth of opportunities at Thornton Academy is instrumental in shaping both a positive high school experience and developing the passions that inspire the paths our alumni take after graduation .
This edition of Postscripts will celebrate some of the recent achievements of our students , putting a spotlight on their curiosity in the classroom , confidence on the playing field , and creativity on the stage . We are so proud of all that they are , and all they strive to be . We hope that you , as alumni ,
parents , and friends , take pride in the way that they represent the legacy and future of our school .
In the following pages of the magazine you will also read about alumni that harnessed interests that were piqued during their time at Thornton Academy and how they have turned those passions into exciting careers . We love sharing these stories with you and know that our students find inspiration in seeing the endless possibilities that can be explored and pursued as they navigate through their time at TA and beyond .
On behalf of the Thornton Academy community , I want to thank you for the ongoing support you provide TA and our students . Your support , along with contributions to the Thornton Fund , allows TA to provide an educational experience that is like no other . Your investment in our students and the future of the academy is sincerely appreciated .
Best ,
