THORNHILL LIFE
and the enforcement thereof on the estate.
Thornhill Estate is a road closure, the status of which has been granted
by the relevant authorities with certain limitations, mostly associated
with access. With a few exceptions, the roads on the estate are public
roads whose traffic regulations are controlled by the Minister of Trans-
port, or his/her minions, including traffic and peace officers in terms
of the National road Traffic Act 93 of 1996 as amended. The exceptions
to this are:
• Thornhill road from the contractor gate up to the fence line on the
east side of the Cottages and Villas.
• The section of road that runs around
the east side of Central park from the
bottom of Myrtle to the T-junction with
Thornhill Road.
• Bushwillow, Acacia, and Karee Cres-
cents and the Pine Place cul-de-sac.
• The section of Gardens from the east
edge of Fairway park up to the 4 way
stop at Myrtle.
• The short section of Provan that runs
through Fairway park.
YOUR
TURE
The latter two provide the only road
access to the Founders view section
of the estate. All these are owned by
THOA and THOA is responsible for all
municipal charges levied upon them.
In addition, the access cul-de-sac to the
Villas is owned by the Villas Homeown-
ers association.
