When attending a game at the Jacket ’ s Nest on Friday nights , fans are guaranteed to hear the longstanding voice of the Yellow Jackets , Randy Young . While his name may be etched in the history books of Thomas County Central , his children , Marion Rose and Ransom are carving a legacy of their own in the arts community of Thomasville .

Describing both her parents as “ artsy ,” Marion Rose said performing came naturally to her .
“ I ’ ve been singing basically since I could talk , but my mom was really the one who pushed it ,” she said .
Marion Rose ’ s earliest memory of performing was during one of her mom ’ s chorus concerts . She was invited up to sing “ Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer ” at age 3 . Two short years later she would make her acting debut on the stage of Thomas County
Central as Gretl Von Trapp in The Sound of Music .
Even at such a young age , Marion Rose said she felt like she fit right in among the high school students .
“ I remember just having so much fun ,” she said . “ I remember really looking up to the guy who played the Captain . He was my dad in the play and carried me around and I guess I just never really grasped exactly what we were doing ; I just thought we were having fun .”
I think my brother and I are both pretty visionary .”
Marion Rose Young played Ransom ’ s estranged , beggar wife in Sweeney Todd : The Demon Barber of Fleet Street .
