ever trying out for American Idol but would love to perform with them on stage on Broadway , despite a much different taste in musicals .
“ A lot of the classics we can agree on , but after you get past 1970 , we are at each other ’ s throats ,” Hogan said .
Hogan ’ s dream shows consist of The Music Man , and Big River : The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn , while JW would prefer to be cast in Wicked or Shrek the Musical .
“ Shrek the Musical is my favorite musical of all time , it got me through a really dark time in my life ,” JW said . “ I just absolutely love everything about the musical .”
One show they can agree on is 1776 , where Hogan would play John Adams and JW would play Thomas Jefferson ’ s wife , Martha . Regardless of whether they ever land a
role together , both JW and Hogan can agree that acting together over the years has brought them closer than they ever could ’ ve imagined and created a lasting bond .
“ Theater just brought us together in a way that none of us could ’ ve ever anticipated ,” JW said . “ I don ’ t think my mom could ’ ve ever even anticipated it when she told us to go audition for the first time . Having that bond in theater brought us so close running lines together and learning dances together .”
While theater is widely considered a second family , it can also be competitive when multiple people audition for the same part . One thing JW and Hogan never have to worry about is someone always having their back and continuing to build them up as they hit the stage .
