about the Education Training Collective
The Education Training Collective (Etc.) might be the new
name on the block when it comes to education, but its
colleges have a long history of serving the Tees Valley.

What’s it all about?
Etc. incorporates Stockton Riverside
College, Redcar and Cleveland College,
Bede Sixth Form College, NETA Training
and The Skills Academy. While the group
name might be new, together the campuses
have a long history of helping to meet
education and training needs in the Tees
Valley.
Did you know? Stockton Riverside
College was formerly known as Stockton
and Billingham Technical College. Redcar
and Cleveland College’s roots stem back to
the Sir William Turner’s Sixth Form and
Cleveland Technical College. Supporting
education in Redcar for more than 300
years, the Sir William Turner Foundation
continues to hold close links with the
college today.

Success
Raising aspirations and motivating people to
fulfil their ambitions is part of the culture at
Etc. And that’s not just for fresh-faced students
straight out of school! The group offers courses
for all ages and levels, from entry level through
to higher education, degree and professional
courses, as well as an extensive and bespoke
commercial offer.

Meet the Campus Principals
While the group has adopted a new overarching
name, retaining the individual identities and
names of its campuses was a priority, that’s why
Etc. has four campus principals, Lesley Graham,
who heads up the team at Stockton Riverside
College, Jason Faulkner is in the top job at
Redcar and Cleveland College, Ben Robinson
leads the team at Bede Sixth Form College,
while Phil Blewitt is managing director at NETA
Training.

The CEO
Chief executive and group principal
of the Education Training Collective
is Phil Cook. He joined Stockton
Riverside College as principal in 2013
and since then has taken the college
from strength to strength. Bringing
a wealth of experience of the further
education sector to the Tees Valley, he
has built a leadership team which can
deliver the best possible outcomes for all
of its students with a focus on ensuring
quality local colleges for people in the
communities where they live.
