National Horizons Centre – Teesside University’s £22.3m centre of excellence for the biosciences industry in Darlington provides specialist training, education and research in the sector. Amazon – Located on Symmetry Park, Darlington, is the 1,500,000sq ft Amazon distribution centre, the largest industrial and logistics facility in the North-East of England. Northern School Of Art – At the heart of Hartlepool’s Innovation and Skills Quarter, this further and higher education facility (previously CCAD) has undergone a £10.5million transformation, with a new state-of-the-art teaching facility, providing 45,000sq ft of teaching and administration space. Church Street – As part of the £9.9m Innovation and Skills Quarter infrastructure work, this has seen major street and traffic improvements alongside the creation of the high-quality BIS studios for creative start-ups and improved connectivity to the Northern School of Art, town centre and marina.
