SeAH Wind’ s monopile factory represents an investment approaching £ 1bn and will manufacture some of the huge foundations needed for offshore wind farms around the world.
Marking the beginning of a new chapter for heavy manufacturing on the Tees, the vast factory is designed to deliver the world’ s largest monopiles – up to 120 metres long, 15.5 metres in diameter and weighing more than 3,000 tonnes.
