Net Zero Teesside Power
Tees Valley is at the forefront of the UK’ s energy transition. Net Zero Teesside Power will become one of the world’ s first gas-fired power stations with carbon capture technology, helping cut emissions while maintaining reliable energy supplies.
As the UK’ s first commercial-scale carbon capture, utilisation and storage facility, it will capture up to 10m tonnes of CO 2 per year, transforming Teesside into the world’ s first decorbonisation industrial cluster.
Northern Endurance Partnership
Capturing carbon is only part of the challenge. Northern Endurance Partnership is developing the infrastructure needed to transport and permanently store millions of tonnes of carbon dioxide beneath the North Sea, creating a foundation for future industrial decarbonisation.
