Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’ s approach to regeneration and economic growth will be critical to the future prosperity and wellbeing of the borough’ s communities.

The next chapter for regeneration builds on the area’ s rich history, diverse communities and growing ambitions for the future.
It will see the creation of a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable place for residents, visitors and businesses alike.
In doing so, it will enhance and animate public spaces, build local pride and promote economic growth.
A blueprint shows the council’ s vision for future development plans in central Stockton and north Thornaby over the next 25 years, delivering modern, mixed-use urban neighbourhoods and great plans to create a stronger central area in the town centre.

STOCKTON WATERFRONT URBAN PARK The Stockton Waterfront urban park development is progressing at pace and new images show the progress of the construction.
Contractor Esh Group has made significant progress on the lower park construction, including the removal of the existing carriageway to realign it under the new land bridge and the creation of a new substation to serve the park.
