WHY PD PORTS? As a recognised driver of some £ 2bn of inward investment to the Tees region, PD Ports has a strong track record of partnership working to progress high-profile projects and
support investor needs.
A major landowner, PD Ports can support interested customers with development sites and warehousing opportunities to build integrated supply chains in prime locations, with access to rail, road and sea.
Estate tenants include distribution centres for major retailers, manufacturers and Europe’ s largest biomass energy plant, all of which move goods and materials from the quay directly to site.
Despite the headwinds of recent years, as one of Teesside’ s largest employers, the business has embraced change.
Across its bulks, unitised and warehousing divisions the company has delivered major infrastructure upgrades, secured new longterm contracts and strengthened its position as a trusted partner.
The company’ s plans for growth are rooted in stability and long-standing customer relationships and supported by a clear direction of travel.
Backed by millions of pounds of investment, the Tees bulks quay has diversified its offer to become a leading provider of dry bulk material and project cargo – expert stevedores and planning teams work with customers to handle every item safely and efficiently.
Port of Hartlepool has become a key hub for the offshore and renewables sector with established handling for offshore cable, pipe and maintenance services.
And, as the UK’ s fifth largest container terminal, Teesport offers robust infrastructure and onward connections for lo-lo and ro-ro services to and from Europe.
Backed by integrated road and rail freight, PD Ports delivers seamless, port-centric logistics from quay to customer.
LOOKING TO THE FUTURE The River Tees is already home to major offshore wind infrastructure, including the SeAH Wind monopile facility and EDF Energy’ s operations base at the Port of Hartlepool.
The addition of the Teesport Offshore Gateway would cement the region’ s status as a national hub for offshore energy.
The Teesport Offshore Gateway would also future-proof PD Ports’ existing operations at the Teesport Container Terminal and Tees Bulks Quay, ensuring long-term resilience and ongoing growth.
“ We’ re open to working with industry to meet their needs and we’ re confident in delivering high-quality jobs and long-term investment for Teesside,” said Frans.
“ Teesport has seen many waves of industry over the years. We are committed to playing our part in delivering growth for the region and helping power the UK’ s green future.”
