In an effort to find businesses to fill empty commercial space in the station, MTA offered temporary leases for pop-ups until long-term tenants are found. PSFK MODEL LEGISLATION A new piece of New York legislation was passed recognizing models under 18 as child performers. Though many designers have recently turned to  hiring more seasoned models, it is a step toward protecting the interests of young models. BUSINESS OF FASHION THE FINE ART OF FASHION JACOBS LEAVES VUITTON After 16 years with the luxury brand, Marc Jacobs officially announced he was leaving Louis Vuitton to focus on his own brand. The departure allows Jacobs to focus on taking his brand public, which is expected within the next three years. THE CUT The gap between fine art and fashion has been bridged as museums and auction houses turn their attention toward the classics and the artifacts of fashion. After a 1968 Yves Saint Laurent black robe pulled in nearly $159,000, it is safe to say that appreciation for the pieces has grown far beyond fashionistas. FORBES
