WHAT DO WE THINK ABOUT...
JAWBONE
T
hough Jawbone isn’t
necessarily a fittech
company, they’ve been
developing wearable
tech for over a decade,
the Jawbone UP caught
our eye this month.
With fittech
continually expanding
into the fashion tech space, the uses
for Jawbone’s technology are
outstanding.
e UP, which starts around $130, is
essentially a reasonably priced
bracelet that provides insight and
analytics based on the daily habits of
the wearer. With the ability to track
more than just fitness, like alerts to
idle time at your desk or computer,
it was hard to pass up the
opportunity to explore the device
when our own Paige Hogan bought
a Jawbone.
Hogan’s favorite feature? “I like that
you can track separate activities.”
Aer months of crashing phone
apps and bad gps signals, she
bought the UP in part to track her
?
runs more consistently as she
prepares for her next half marathon.
ough there are a number of
fitness trackers out there, Hogan’s
experience with Jawbone so far has
been excellent. With the ability to
track steps, sleep and dietary habits,
using in-app barcode scans,
Jawbone’s tech seems to offer an allinclusive experience when it comes
to analyzing the data that lies in
limbo for so many people.
