We help organizations define and articulate their unique culture in ways that resonate with next generation of workers. THE CHALLENGE Nichiha USA, subsidiary of Nichiha Japan, a building products manufacturer with revenues exceeding $1B. Finding considerable success, growing from 4 employees to now over 350, the organization began to experience typical growth related obstacles related to their people. In particular, they were concerned that their unique culture was getting lost with the influx of new people. In addition, Nichiha had a unique challenge with the cultural and communication differences of their Japanese and US workforce. They came to us knowing they needed help changing in order to stay on track for future success in these areas: Talent, Engagement, Retention, Recruiting, and Future Innovation. THE QUESTIONS Can we maintain our unique culture as we scale? We want to keep what’s special. How do we get our US and Japanese workers to communicate better and work as one team? How do we become more attractive to Millennial and next gen workers? How do we retain our best employees? How do we do all of this without a strategic HR function? Can we do it without spending an excessive amount on new systems and headcount additions?
