10 days We have prayed We have sought We have beseeched We have looked within ourselves We have considered where we have erred , where we have done right We have brought forth regret , we ask for discernment We have brought forth our reason , we ask for wisdom
We reach this moment , beyond the realm of reason Beyond the realm of pleading We enter the remembrance of the ritual
To enter the Holy of Holies
Though we no longer may access the Holiest of places , though the enormity of our entire people is not gathered in this one congregation , We come together remembering unity remembering holy space , to hold these memories in sacred time this moment of expiation of being cleansed .
