When you lift the soft material , you ’ ll reveal more sticks of memory and a cloth which you ’ ll need to wipe away your paw prints . This is particularly true for the chrome set as it is a fingerprint magnet of note . That is however , the price one pays for the looks . Yet another novelty item that sells the entire experience . Speaking of which , if you head on over to the micro site for this memory or the page if you will . You ’ ll notice a level of seriousness with which the memory is presented . Not to say that the rest of the memory is merely listed as a collection of specs , but the experience from website up until you receive your kit is quite memorable . All this has no bearing on what the kit can do , but in this day and age where there is so much noise form so many brands . It is good to see one vendor , if not at least for this particular product take a measured and adult approach to its potential customers .
SPECIAL IS AS SPECIAL DOES
All that aside , what is it about this memory that makes it special ? Surely it cannot be the out the box performance as last issue we looked at another kit which featured a C14 3200MHz XMP profile . That kit was also based on the same ICs as well and as we all know , these will for the most part make or break a set of memory . Moreover , CORSAIR ’ s X . M . P profile for this memory is 14-16-16-36 @ 1.35V . Impressive by any standard , but inferior to last issue ’ s kit
