QA with (Libor) “Buildzoid” (Sadilek) Country Name and City: United Kigndom, Hull What language(s) do you speak in addition to English if any? I also speak Czech since I am Czech. Your nickname “buildzoid”, where did it come from and does it have any particular meaning? buildzoid is from when I first started playing minecraft. Since I really liked building things and I spent most of my time in minecraft building I came up with buildzoid and I’ve been using that name since. When did you start overclocking and on what platform was it on? I first started in 2012 on X79 with a 3960X and an H100 cooler. I the most I managed was 4.5Ghz on 1.35V for daily use but eventually I upgraded to a custom water loop and did 5Ghz daily and 5.2-5.3Ghz for benchmarks. On which forum or forums do you spend the most time or share your overclocking results? I first spent most of my time on the TechPowerUp forums. Later I discovered reddit and became a mod for /r/overclocking and setup the first version of the overclocking wiki there. These days I spend most of time on the HWbot forums and reddit but also check TechPowerUp and Overclock.net every so often. Your YouTube Channel, “Actually Hardcore Overclocking”, when did you start it and why? The name Actually Hardcore Overclocking is because there are so many sites that have overclocking in their name but as far as I’m concerned they don’t cover 6 The OverClocker Issue 39 | 2016 overclocking in-depth enough so I slapped the Actually in front of Hardcore Overclocking and went with that for my computer hardware blog where I covered overclocking as in depth as I could manage. Later on I tried to livestream my OC sessions and since I was archiving those to youtube I decided to start using the youtube channel for other content as well. How often are you streaming and/or uploading videos on the channel, and how has the response been so far? I try to stream every Saturday. My personal goal for the youtube is 3 videos a week but I rarely manage to do that. So far the responses I’ve got have been very positive since there are a lot of people who are interested in the kind of more in depth coverage I try to do and there’s not a whole lot of it out there. You’re a fairly technical individual, more so than the “average” extreme overclocker perhaps. Do you find that helps or gives you an advantage in any way? When I first started out I got really into volt modding because as far as I’m concerned that’s way more accessible that LN2 or Dry ice and even on air or water cooling you can see good gains. I think the only advantage I would claim to have is that I don’t need to wait for voltmod guides for things since I can usually volt mod just about anything with a public data sheet myself. Several weeks ago you uploaded some detailed videos about the RX480. How did that overclock eventually, for those who have not seen the streams yet? Also what are your general impressions on the GPU? On LN2 I got 1550mhz on the core to pass Firestrike. I also ran Firestrike windowed at 1600mhz. However it took me far too long to realize
