Eden Qingdao

Oriental Eden is a new awe-inspiring visitor destination modelled on the Eden Project in Qingdao, China. Event, a Museum Studio company, worked on the design for this extraordinary cultural and tourism destination.
Echoing the pioneering transformation of a barren clay pit in Cornwall, Oriental Eden recovers an expansive environmentally damaged landscape spanning a 200 acres site overlooking Jiaozhou Bay. It spans an impressive 1,200 acres, with 400 acres dedicated to its core attractions.
Performance is at the core of the attraction, with a holistic site that borrowed as much from live events as it did theme parks, botanical gardens and museums. Learning from 20 years of operations in Cornwall, Eden Project Qingdao hinges on‘ Live interpretation’ – a massive team of musicians, actors, and science educators who bring the site to life.
Performance focused areas include the Raindance Pavilion, where

Carlsberg Experience

Carlsberg had a bold vision- to transform the site of its first brewery, where it all began in 1847, into a space where its heritage could be celebrated and its brand values made tangible. We were commissioned to ensure the renewed visitor attraction would become a landmark destination for Copenhagen.
We designed a multi-sensory journey peppered with moments of theatre, discovery and interactivity, from two-storey digital monoliths that fizz and glow as though filled with fermenting beer, to dramatic recreations. Visitors explore the vast historic site, through the grain stores, across a sculpture garden and down the design and realisation of heritage, cultural and brand attractions.
timeless theatrical techniques meet cutting-edge technologies and a team of musicians and actors initiate mass dances to awaken the pavilion.
A vast stage for promenade theatre, complete with intimate stages for small groups and platforms to address entire buildings, integrated theatrical lighting and hardware for PA and sound effects as well as BOH facilities, holding areas and dressing rooms for performers and concealed transport routes inspired by theme parks, such as Disney.
This immersive destination combines science education, entertainment, live performances and social initiatives – all designed to connect its millions of visitors with nature. The engagement approach pays special attention to the water story linked to the local surroundings. This extends the reach of Eden Project’ s charitable mission demonstrating and inspiring positive action for the planet.
into the hidden cellars, as the brand’ s narrative materialises around them.
The complex experience, between brand activation, heritage interpretation and promenade theatre required a diverse team to achieve the desired results. Conservation architects, actors, filmmakers and fabricators all worked under our creative direction and technical supervision to create the finished journey.
The Home of Carlsberg opened with great fanfare on 1st December 2023. Those who visit emerge as ambassadors for the brand.
