Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo The Making of Harry Potter
Retail and Restaurant Design Lumsden’ s collaboration with Warner Bros. began in 2011 with the original Studio Tour in London. Building on its success, the Tokyo Studio Tour became the first of its kind in Asia, immersing visitors in the Wizarding World with authentic sets, costumes, and creatures from the Harry Potter films.
Raising the bar for experiential retail and dining, Lumsden designed over 30,000 sq ft of themed environments, including four cafes and restaurants. Highlights include the Food Hall, inspired by Hogwarts’ Great Hall, where guests can dine at their own house table for the first time.
At 13,000 sq ft, the Studio Shop is the world’ s largest Harry Potter store, featuring 11 themed zones filled with film references and photo opportunities. Its centrepiece is a nine-metre-high enchanted dome, brought to life through projection mapping inspired by memorable film moments. The Wand Shop, meanwhile, draws from the Ollivanders set, with a digital window opening onto Diagon Alley, where magical mishaps unfold throughout the day.
Beyond Tokyo, Lumsden continues to support Warner Bros. Studio Tours and Retail worldwide, from the complete refurbishment of the Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9¾ in London to the recently opened flagship stores in Chicago and Harajuku, and the forthcoming Studio Tour in Shanghai.
