As 2014 comes to an end we get a chance to decide how we will enter into 2015 and what we will want to accomplish in the New Year. Whatever happened or did not happen in 2014 has passed. It is time to set our vision for 2015. This is a great time to see the highest and best version of yourself and continue your life and business progression. Here are some steps to bring in the New Year and forge the New You.

1. Perspective of the past. The only thing you need from 2014 is what you have learned that can make you better for 2015. Cherish your happy memories, bring the lessons forward and leave baggage behind.

2. 2015 Vision. More important than what is who? The key to producing new results and accomplishing new things is the forging of the new you! I like to imagine the highest and best version of me. One with more strength, commitment, discipline, patience, kindness, generosity, persistence, knowledge, wisdom, influence, accurate thinking and organization. I visualize myself calm and collected, confident and powerful. If I am congruent with the “who” I want to be, the “what” will take care of itself.

3. What will I accomplish in 2015. I like to determine what I will accomplish and clearly define what that will look like and how it will make me feel to accomplish it.

4. Wish vs. Resolution. If it is going to be achieved no matter what then it is a resolution. If there is a way out, a chance of quitting, reasons or excuses that can get in the way then it is simply a wish. Nothing wrong with a wish except the end result. At the end of a wish you are left without for another year until the thing becomes a resolution. Resolutions are final and the result is fulfillment. In my humble opinion a goal missed was never a goal, it was a wish. A goal not carefully considered as to be congruent with our will and resources was only a fantasy. A real vision is the balanced relationship of will, resources and imagination.

5. Call it what it is. If you have no intention to accomplish the thing, call it a wish so that your mind records it as such. If you have intention and resolute determination to accomplish the thing then call it a resolution and your brain can record your victory as such. This is important for the building of positive patterns.

Now we will be well on our way to the highest and best version of ourselves. There will be a quantum effect not only on ourselves but on all of those around us, now and in the future, if we pursue our highest and best self. You are not alone. You have an entire community behind you. No one left out and no one left behind. In 2015, LIZ will support you more than ever before.
