NEWS
LOSER
Tiger Woods - he may have won five
tournaments, but he never looked like
adding to his tally of 14 majors.
And then there were his rules indiscretions
- dropping a ball in the wrong place at The
Masters, and causing the ball to move as
he attempted to remove twigs. PGA Tour
Player of the Year? Sorry, but for me that’s
just a bad joke
WINNER
Jordan Spieth - a breath
of fresh air. Won his first
PGA Tour event when he
was still 19 and looks like
winning every time he tees
the ball up. The youngster
doesn’t have a weakness.
He is also blessed with a
wonderful temperament.
Don’t be surprised to see
him win a major in 2014.
LOSER
Keegan Bradley - got
himself into contention
many times during 2013
but failed to win an event
as he tied himself in knots
before being able to hit
any kind of golf shot. His
pre-shot routine gets ever
longer, and he has started
spitting again. Charming!
WINNER
Jason Dufner - I don’t
get Dufner. I just don’t
understand how somebody
who has achieved as much
as he has can possibly look
so miserable while doing it,
especially when you see his
wife. Talk about a guy batting
out of his league! On the
other hand, his play to win
the US PGA championship
was fabulous.
LOSER
Rory McIlroy - signed a huge contract
with Nike, parted company with his
management firm, seemed to live his
relationship with tennis player Caroline
Wozniacki on Twitter and then decided he
didn’t want to talk about it anymore, his
form was wretched and so was his mood.
Started the year as world No1, finished it
as No 6, and failed to win or contend in a
single event. Also chose not to go to his
great friend Graeme McDowell’s wedding.
Should anybody still be interested, Rory
and Caroline are still an item
