Fun for the kids A birdy box birdfeeder by Meg Henson and made by Jess Hobbs Reuse an old milk box and make it into a birdfeeder that looks like a bird. What you need • • • • • • • • • • • Paint (acrylic or pva paint is recommended to stick to the shiny surface of the milk box) Paintbrush, water Plastic table cloth or newspaper Black mighty marker Milk box Stick String Scissors or a craftknife with the help of an adult Two bottle tops from a Schweppes Mazoe bottle, or any similar tops Glue Birdfeed (I recommend Marltons Budgie mixture, which attracts all the smaller birds) How to make the birdfeeder Before you get started, make sure you cover the table with a plastic tablecloth or newspaper for an easy clean up. 1. 22 Ask an adult to help you cut out the hole at the front of the box and the wings at the side.
