Summer annuals
MARIGOLD Marigolds thrive in full sun , whether planted in containers or en masse , they always add a happy splash of colour to the garden . They range from dwarf to tall , lemon to burgundy and now red ! The Durango red marigold grows to a height of 30cm and their flower heads are larger than the well known Lemon drop .
BEGONIAS Red and scarlet begonias , with either bronze or green foliage , put on a season long show of colour in the garden . Begonias grow best in shade and are ideal for hanging baskets , pots , window boxes or planted en masse . They are easy to grow and to maintain their uniform shapes .
COLEUS The Coleus Wizard series has some lovely red foliage that will brighten up any pot or bed in the garden . They prefer shade or semi shade and look better when planted en masse . Some gardeners remove the flowers to make the colourful foliage last longer .
VINCA The heat loving and water wise vinca is so rewarding for its durability often flowering throughout the winter months . The Vinca Sunstorm red is a splash of colour , both in pots or in the garden .
