Your portfolio is quite diverse, but do
you have a particular speciality or a
genre that you enjoy the most, and
why?
I have a fear of being boxed in by one
particular style. I intend on making
photographic imagery for many years
to come and my approach is that of
the perpetual student. I always want
to learn new techniques and skills
and, with each lesson my work moves
a little forward. The photographs I
produce now are different to those
from a few years ago which in turn
are different from those produced
when I was younger. It keeps me on
my toes and prevents stagnation. I
have always experimented with my
imagery and I love telling stories. My
recent work tries to evoke a sense
of the magical and otherworldly. I
really enjoy producing this work and
I see myself doing more of this over
the next few years. If I had not been
introduced to photography I think I
would have been a writer, spinning
tales of enchantment and wonder.
