6. Kimonyoski- Rico Gang ft Kartelo.
"Si unajua Warrirris!" Goes their
signature in every song. Well, the first
timeI was listening to Kimonyoski song I
wanted to update my sheng dictionary.
Rico gang's idea of featuring Kartello
The King Of Puns, was a bright idea.
Kimonyoski is a song that appreciates
different peer groups amongst the
youths, notable ones being " hitilafu
sacco" and Kimonyoski itself. One
important crew member that got many
talking is Grayce. In fact, one of the
fans told TheYouthing Magazine that
her verse is smoother than body lotion,
I agree.
7. Chupa Ku Chupa-Only One Delo
Chupa ku Chupa is a certified club
banger. Delo is a lyrical prowess who,
just like Zzero Sufuri, rides on solo and
still make a great hit. He has this solid
voice and sings with ultimate passion.
Do want to know why Pastor Ng'ang'a
banned me from Neno Evangelism? He
said "Hello" while making a ''call to a
faithful's kidney'' and I found myself
shouting 'Only One Delo, hallo.' You all
should listen to this banger before the
year ends.
8. Kalongo- Fat Boy Gwaash ft.
Boondocks gang.

THE REVOLUTION
"Genge la Boondocksi" and "Badmanting"
are the masterminds behind the kalongo
banger. Kalongo is a kind of game
mostly played by kids. It involves
assumption of family/community roles
by the participants. The artists take us
back to the time and incorporate the
slang in a metaphorical way. The rest is
history.
9. Wale Mang'aa- Odi Wa
Muranga,Swat, Jua Cali and VDJ Jones.
THE REVOLUTION
"Being in a SWAT outfit while at
JUACALI in Murang'a" reads a comment
in youtube. The track involves the best
of the best in the world of genge tone.
The involvement of JuaCali, a veteran in
Genge world spice it up and brings out
some uniqueness. Swat too of late has
new style of composing his lyrics, only a
few with the spirit of talking in tongues
can eventually relate to his verse. Odi
Wa Muranga as usual blends in with his
own style and powerful word game. VDJ
Jones is also featured, however, it is
almost impossible to differentiate him
from the audience in the video. Credits
to the producer too for sick beats.
10. Figa-Ethic Entertainment.
Shot at the famous Club64, Figa
became one of the Ethic's best song
this year. The song features Radio
celebrity Kamene Goro who leaves
men's tounges wagging. Reckless
goes with the chorus as the rest of
the crew drop verses. I'd love to
highly rate it but I am afraid KFCB
will come for me.
Other than the ten listed tracks,
there are other several gengetone
hits. They include; Wainame by
Sailors; Pandana, tarimbo, majimaji
and dala dala by ethi; Mboko haram
by Boodocks among others.
