India's primary space agency. It launched its Mars craft called
Mangalyaan on November 5, 2013. After 15 months, it floated
into Mars' orbit. This near impossible feat achieved by the
scientists at ISRO has made India the first country in the

Saints; the
news was quite fantastic.
But Pranks and Rambo found it strange, they knew nothing
The Mangalyaan traveled 650 million
kilometers from earth. If calculated, the
cost comes up to Rs. 6.7 per kilometer.
This turns out to be cheaper than a
regular rickshaw ride in the city!
It weighed 1,350 kgs and was ready in 15

about these saints! Amidst the hullabaloo over elections and
power, did the media not have any time to acknowledge those who
helped people ever? While pranks sought information about these
saints, Rambo was still dealing with the question, ‘Who are
Saints?’
Papa then explained to the curious kids, that a ‘saint’ is someone
who is recognized by the Church as one who had an extremely

TIME magazine referred to Mangalyaan as The Super smart

The magazine also featured several inventions that are

Like Hindus have Rishis, and Muslims have Mu'mins, the

Christians have Saints. Saints are people who are extremely kind
and dedicate their lives to help other people despite their own
constraints. Father Chavara was a social reformer and worked
towards education of women. He started a system of “A School
With Every Church” which succeeded in making education free.
He died at Age 65, in January 3, 1871. Sister Euphrasia died in
1952. Though she was confined to the convent for her entire life,
Sister Euphrasia prayed for everyone around her, he said. Her
life was for the poor.

prisoners are locked up alone and see nothing but a tiny whitewalled cell for 23 hours in a day. Nalini Nadkarni, an Indian
forest ecologist and college professor helped develop the 'Blue
Room' with Snake River Correctional Institution in Oregon for
these prisoners. Last year, officials began letting some of them
spend their free hour in a first-of-its-kind “blue room,” an
exercise space where a projector plays video of open deserts,
streaming waterfalls and other outdoor scenes. So, these
prisoners get the same feeling that you do when you are playing
in the park.
