The Young Chronicle
December 26th, 2014
Rons and Pranks were excited about the election results in J&K,
since they could now understand the dynamics of the election.
They had read the previous editions of The Young Chronicle and
knew the history of Jammu and Kashmir.

Rons for some reason was expecting the BJP to win all 44 seats
and form the government without a collation or without
collaourating with any other party, but Pranks was more practical
and knew that this was impossible since BJP had won just 11
seats in the previous elections. But Pranks knew, that BJP would
certainly perform much better this time, and was happy to see
that the party had won 25 seats. 25 seats basically meant that
25 of its candidates across J&K had won in their own
constituencies.
Rons also observed that this time around the table had turned and PDP and BJP were the biggest
winners. Where as, NC and Congress, which had performed well in the last elections, got only 15 and 12
seats respectively. This felt like a complete game changer since the National Conference had won 28
seats, and had made the collation government with the National Congress in the last elections.
Rons and Pranks are now both curious, which parties would get together and form the government this
time around.
The Chief Ministerial candidates of each party are as follows:
Peoples’ development Party (PDP): Mehbooba Mufti
National Conference (NC): Omar Abdullah
Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP): To Be Confirmed
National Congress: Ghulam Nabi Azad
