YOUNG CHRONICLE THE YOUNG CHRONICLE That Rat Called Exam Rons and Pranks have always had exam paranoia. Hereʼs what they think of Exams. An exam is like a Rat. It gnaws, Whatʼs more, itʼs always lurking around the corner, And waiting to chew your brains, with its jaws. It chews on all the information you have gathered Whilst you are asleep, And all that you have mugged, Gets wiped out wide and deep. How to bust the exam stress? 1) Organise yourself and create a time table 2) Study one topic at a time and do it in depth Hereʼs what we have to say to them and all you children… 3) When you study, ensure you are doing it to gain knowledge, and not to give a mere exam. Little do they realize, that exams donʼt prey on your knowledge. Itʼs just the fear of appearing in them, That drives you to the ledge. 4) Consolidate your thoughts and stay focused while you give the exam 5) Donʼt worry about the result before and while the exams are on. A Very Important Shloka From the Bhagwad Gita The fear is the rat, And not the exams. Itʼs the fear that gnaws on your knowledge, wipes it out with its jaws. All you need is focus, And understanding. Once you have them both, You will succeed, nothing withstanding. This shloka means, that it is your right to work to the best of your ability, but the fruits are not in your hand. Don’t let the fruit of your hard work, be the motive of your action and don’t let the attachment or the want of the fruit, lead to inaction. Why? Because the fruit is not in your hands, where as your karma or the effort you put in is.
