Page 2 Newsletter Title IPL Opening Ceremony India’s biggest Twenty20 cricket league kicked off at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on April 8, 2015. Started in 2008, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has created a phenomenon in the history of Indian cricket. The opening ceremony was delayed by over an hour due to heavy rain. Still, the gathered fans didn’t lose hope. The sheer excitement echoed off the stadium. Saif Ali Khan, hosted the event. The ceremony began with a traditional performance on Rabindranath Tagore’s ’Ananda Loke’, followed by Pritam’s musical performance and ladies dancing in traditional red and white sarees. Saif Ali Khan then called out the eight captains to the dais. The crowd applauded and whistled for their favourite captains. However, M.S.
