YOUNG CHRONICLE November 14th, 2014 Detective Dinky & the Case of the Mist Monster (Continued) When she came close to the tree again, she looked up and said proudly, “Whoever you are, show yourself!” No sooner, the branch moved again. The leaves rustled. Something was about to jump out – and it did! Dinky missed it. What was it? Where had it gone now? Why couldn’t she see it anymore? Just as Dinky began to wonder, something brushed between her legs something furry and soft. She looked down. To her pleasant surprise, this mist monster mewed. It was a kitten after all. It was scared, cold and hungry. Dinky laughed when she realized she needn’t have thought of the little kitty as a monster after all! Dinky had a made a new friend instead. Atlhough Mama wasn’t too happy to know that Dinky went out into the misty garden on her own, she more than welcomed the kitty. 5 Dinky named her Misty – after the mist in which she was found! After that day it was Dinky who scared the Kitten everyday after waking up in the morning.
